Would human existence be possible without communication? How would human beings interact with each other and the environment, develop relationships, and understand the environment without communication? Basically, communication is the most significant factor across societies that plays a crucial role in shaping human destiny. The concept and process of communication has attracted several definitions because of the varying considerations of its significance in human life. Communication is defined as a tool for managing interactions and relationships between people and interpreting and interacting with the environment. Through communication, people describe their feelings, purpose, and perceptions of the society and world (McFarlane, 2010, p.2). It is also defined as a process through which people give and convey meaning in order to develop shared or mutual understanding. Does communication occur automatically?
